Monitor Cable woes

Dear friends, I just purchased a monitor extension cable for my 21" Hansol monitor. However, in windows there is a little ghosting. Basically, all typed stuff you can sort of see two of. I hope that someone has some ideas. The cable is a 15 Male to 15 Female.

Have you tried using your monitor without the extension cable? If so, did you have these same problems or not?

maybe you can get some good quality extension cables.. a lot the generic(cheap) extension cables and mechanical KVM will cause signal degration/noise that results in ghosting.

Dear Friends, the monitor is perfect without the extension cable, but I need it with such a large monitor!

A simple old radio trick was to wrap it in tin foil... might help... Or as stated get a better quality cable...

BTW does it have somewhat larger bump like items next to each end???
