Monitor brightness

I have 2 machines on 1 monitor. XP goes through the VGA input and my Vista machine goes through the DVI input.



The settings on my monitor don't change when I switch views, but my XP machine is much brighter than my Vista machine.



I've tried fooling around with the settings in Vista, but I don't get why this is happening.
