Dear Friends

I have a Hansol 2100A which is detected as a default monitor, even when I install the correct drivers for it. I have tried to disable the hardware profile but to no avail. With the default setting, I can only achieve 640 X 480! I have a Voodoo 5 500 AGP card. Any ideas or comments would really be appreciated.

try first uninstalling 'default monitor' in hardware profiles. then detect new hardware, when it finds your monitor, have windows search for a driver. stick the disk in the drive and let windows do it's thing.

this won't work if the manufacturer stuck their drivers in some lame executable. if they did that, just download the drivers and stick em in a folder then have windows look there.

that's how i installed my hp monitor when it was being detected as 'default monitor' and everything is working ok. also be sure that if you have any onboard video it's disabled
