Monitor blanks out occaisionally

Every hour or so my monitor blanks like it's not getting any video input. It stays like this for about 5 seconds before going back to normal. I'm running a SFF PC with the following components:

-Radeon 9200 (low profile), latest drivers
-512 MB RAM (PC3200)
-P4 1.6A, Asus P4s333 M/B
-Samsung SyncMaster 191T LCD monitor, run through DVI interface
-200W PSU

Any ideas about what may be causing this? I was thinking that it might be a heat-related issue with the video card, but the problem still occurs with the case cover off and plenty of ventilation. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with how hard I am pushing the video card, as it balnks out just as often while web surfing as when playing games.

I have the Syncmaster 955DF and it does that occasionally too. However it just started doing it like a month ago. Its a weird thing, and now that i think about it .. it hast re occured in the past few days for me.

Id like to know why it does this too.
