So I'm getting a new monitor because my old one got crushed pretty much (TV fell onto it. Stupid crap mount).
I'm looking at the Asus VG284QE, which seems to be a huge favorite and can run the same 144 Hz, 1ms, high resolution, and all that stuff that even the high end BenQ run. Difference is, this one is $250 instead of $500-1250. Sounds awesome.
However, am I missing something? Am I compatible? I have an AMD Radeon HD 7970 graphics card. It's max resolution (I think - googled it) is like 2560x1600. Is this high enough to run the Asus VG284QE to its full capacity? Keep in mind I usually have my TV as a second monitor. Can it run 144 Hz and 1ms refresh rate and all the specs of the Monitor (including 3D stuff)?
Also, this monitor comes with 3D. I know nothing about it (except that I need to buy a $100 glasses kit thing). Is that worth it? Is the 3D nice for certain things? I've heard it's actually nice for some games. Of course not like counter strike, but I bet it's nice for Rocket League and I've also heard it can help in Overwatch due to certain projectile heros.
I'm just bad with computer hardware and specs. Could use some help. I don't want to buy a monitor I can't push to its potential. I found these links to help you out.
