Sup Anandtech Team,
Got a bit of a problem with my pc and I think that I have got a general idea on the culprit.
I was trying to install a new motherboard and things didnt work out, so I thought that I would put my old motherboard back together.
So, I connected everything up and pressed my power button, and the fans and eveything starting spinning, but the pc would turn off randomly within 30sec, I found out that the cpu was overheating, so I got some more thermal paste and applied that and I dont have the overheating problem anymore, but now everytime that I try and boot up, my pc monitor stays in "power saving" mode. All the fans still spin, and the cpu is not overheating anymore. Now, the monitor is always in "power saving" mode with both motherboard.
So I think it is either the graphics card that has gone or both motherboards... (But the graphics card fan still runs)
Pc doesnt beep with turned on but my memory is fine. Any ideas? Time to fork out a new GPU?
Cheers for any advice!
