Monitor: 2x 19" Widescreen or 2x 17" Regular?

So I need to pick up some monitors for my computer. I want two of them, just debating on which I should get. For about the same price, I can get either:

Two of the HansG HW-191 19" Widescreen monitors

or

Two of regular Dell 17" flat panels.

What do you reccomend? My only reservation on the 19" monitor is the resolution - 1440x900. That just seems a little low for a 19" monitor, considering my laptop with a 15" screen is running that. The dells on the other hand, while smaller, are 1280x1024 and will therefore probably appear to be more crisp.

Any opinions?

Thanks,
Dan

I would pick two of the Newegg speacials. Sale ends today by the way. Can't go wrong for $180 bucks.

Widescreen all the way, for me.

But it depends. Rectangles might not be as efficient for you. But if you have several windows open at the same time, not fullscreen, it'll work.

But it's up to you. I'd choose the 19" widescreens.

But 1280x1024 is a solid resolution.

Also, laptops almost always have higher resolutions.

Only if they do if they are SVGA. For instance the majority of HP business notebooks are limited to 1024x768
