Moniters and Speakers

I just hooked up my new stereo system to my computer and was wondering the speakers being next to the moniter would affect anything? i mean they are pretty large and well..i dunno.

depends if they are shielded or not....

sheilded eh? shielded or not? anyone know? what would happen if say they weren't shielded? i think they aren't

Most pc speakers,that are well built,are magnetically shielded. Most speakers are placed in close proximity to the monitor.The large subwoofers in the better systems most often are NOT shielded,they need to be placed away from the monitor. I have never used a set that were not shielded,but a best guess would be some monitor distortion from Electro Magnetic Interference.
