Ok... im looking for your guys oppinion on this one... a 17" moniter... or Altech Lansings (cheaper ones), Optical Logitech (or Microsoft) mouse, and 256megs of DDR... thanx :-D

What do you use your computer for? Evaluate your needs first, and then determine what part you would like to purchase. If you mainly listen to music, then get speakers. If you watch DVDs/Videos or play games, go with the 17" monitor. If you use programs that require a good amount of RAM, then get more RAM. Hope this helps. 🙂

LaVoS,

From what I understood, it's the monitor OR the rest of the peripherals, correct..? If so, post your current specifications and what your intentions are for the PC (gaming, DVD, etc)..

Well i am basically a gamer... but speakers add allot to the game... you would be surprized how much kooler games feel with awsome Speakers... (if you dont know already)... but im on a 15" crappy moniter right now... and im not shure... its probly gonna die on me soon os its 7 years old LOL... hmmm im also getting a Geforce 2 GTS Pro 64meg DDR... thats why ic ant get all of that and the moniter hehe

40gig HD

nothing esle is relly anything thats affected by what i else i buy... im just triyng to decided weather or not to get the moniter or the other stuff...

If you have an old monitor and are getting a GTS, maybe you should go the monitor route. Depending on how good/bad your current monitor is, it may not support the resolutions and refresh rates that you'll need to take advantage of your new video card. My monitor will only go up to 1024 right now, so it will be my next investment, though not a huge need, since I play all my games in 1024 and am satisfied with that, for now.

Well this Moniter has worked out well for a while... and still is... except someitmes the colors get messed... but i donno... nothing coming out for a while will display in over 1024 (witch is what i run in) so maybe i should wait on it...

er i meant non will require it sorry... EQ: Shadows of Lucin's Default is 1024... and thats the only game i can think of that requires 1024... most are less...
