Moniter Dot Pitch make too much of a difference?

I'm looking into buying a new moniter.. I found a KDS Flatscreen 17" .24 for $199. I like the moniter, the only thing I am worried about is the .24 dot pitch. I was wondering if you can tell a noticable amount of difference in a moniter that is .24 and a moniter with a higher dot pitch such as .28. Would it be worth the money to buy a different moniter (more expensive) with a higher dot pitch? I am a hardcore gamer and want the best picture I can get, but still conserve money. Any advice/suggestions?

The dot pitch is the distance between the pixels on screen. Lower is better.

Kazy,

I tried that monitor and was very disappointed with it. I'd recommend spending a little more to get a better tube. Believe me, for $199 you're getting what you pay for. I'd go with a bigger 19" model from Samsung or Hitachi if you've got the money.
