Moneybee is a project that tries to predict the evolution of stock, etfs, index funds, ... and aims to give buy/sell signals. Sadly it hasn't been very active in recent years.

The project is able to give correct info on the evolution in 60 to 70 percent of all cases.

Due to a lack of crunching power it can only process a limited amount of items and this is mostly the components of the german DAX. With more cpu power it will be able to process all major indexes and their components.

As I am studying economics at university and very interested in economics/finance I was interested in this project and I wrote an e-mail to the project administrators. I will keep you up to date!

Are there any members of our old moneybee team online here? Maybe you could share your experiences.

Hmmm, IIRC this project has been up for discussion before - and I mean several years ago.

IIRC the discussion was that the crunching members only got some limited access to the data, while they contributed a lot of resources.
To obtain the full benefit you had to pay a monthly fee - it seems to me, that the fee now is 49 Euros.
Those who do not pay, contribute quite a lot but get a limited benefit.
Also, this seems to be a for-profit-project.

On a personal note: I have decided to support only those projects which - at least according the available info - are not for profit.

Yes, you're absolutely write about the for-profit part.

so we don't have any project that covers economics...
