if you are poor and all of a sudden you won a lottery, it will put a big smile 😀
if you are rich and suddenly become poor, it would certainly put a big frown. buhahaha!

To a certain point yes...but there is some hapiness that money can't buy i.e. family, friends. Material objects can only keep you so happy.

but without money a poor family would starve to death without the help from the government and thats what we called feeding on the public's money. $ is everything nuff said.

I don't think money = happiness, but I definitely think It can bring happiness. Permanent happiness, that I'm not so sure about.

Money is not everything.

That said money does play a huge role as a variable of our happiness.

Wouldn't all of us be happy and worry-free if we had passive income of $20,000 a month and could leave money out of the equation in considering happiness?

I was just thinking about this today...

If I didnt have money issues at least then I wouldn't be unhappy about my money issues. But then what would I be unhappy about? The money issues will be resolved in a matter of months so I'm a bit worried about whats going to go wrong when I dont have to worry about money any longer...

At least when I have the money issues taken care of I can focus on what will make me happy!

Girls = Evil
Girls = Time * Money
Time = Money
Girls = Money^2
Money = SQRT(Evil)
Girls = (SQRT(Evil)^2) = Evil

Well, it's not a one to one ratio.

With my wife going back to work 5 years ago after not working for 15 years we have doubled our income.

I can't say I'm twice as happy.

Money makes me happy but that's because I'm not busy worrying about the rest of my life. If the rest of it sucked, having money wouldn't help.

looking around college... I proabably have twice as much cash on hand... if not ten times more than the average college kid.... yet they always look a lot happier than me when they puke all over some girl they passed out on.... that's a luxury I can't afford... I think when/if I get my new job I'm going to buy a powerboat....

The ramifications of the idea are outstanding! You are going against proven proverbs and adages with insightful experience and observation! Kudos!
