So a few of my coworkers have started mining Eth.
Since my budget is tight (kids health and wife's dental have drained my wallet, even with insurance..), I am planning to use my main system, a i5 Sandy Bridge 2500s with a GTX 750 2G. However, I was told with my card would not be a good candidate unless it has 4+ G of memory.
After looking around various mining sites, I found Monero mining, which my card would still be a good match.
Anyone has been doing Monero mining? Is it safe? How would I go about convert the coin to cash if after a while I stop mining? Would mining shorten the life span of my hardware? Do I really have to leave it running 24/7?
