Monarchs X2 preorders

Business is business but I will definity show my opinion with my wallet. Spraco or even less... lets hope da egg shows us they want our business.

I agree, and again the prices that were outlined in the reviews should have been for retail boxes right??? Are these companies taking advantage of those numbers listed?? Usually those numbers for cpu pricing have been for retail right?? Or are they always OEM chips in the trays???

Chill. It sounds like you're taking this personally. It's just a part of supply and demand. You surely know supply and demand.

So what if they overshot your (and most of our) prices? If they are vigilant, they will realize that nobody's buying at that pricelevel, and they will begin to bring it down. If everything goes right, the price will reach an equilibrium. Remember?

LOL. Supply and demand.

I remember buying a Visiontek GF3 before launch and paying $399-ish ... didn't mind it a bit. You always pay a (hefty, usually) premium to be an early adopter of technology.

Well, I only was willing to pay a little over MSRP since it's so high already. I hope newegg has these things for reasonable prices (or even has them at all) by the time I'm ready to buy around the beginning of July.

I still have that exact card in a box somewhere collecting dust now.. Got it for $175 on a black friday deal at BB. That was the day I vowed never to pursue "hot deals" again (not so hot when you consider lines, traffic, time, agrrevation, rebates etc)

But the fact is that there is a sufficient number of people who will pay that premium (hey, it's their disposable income) rather than wait for the price to be adjusted down. It's just a matter of knowing when to drop the price. That involves a bunch of things I'd need to go find my old economics textbooks for, and I don't have them on me.

In the presence of perfect information, the market works every time. But information is never perfectly known, and when guesses needing to be made are wrong (such as X2 pricing), somebody is going to lose. Fortunately for Monarch, this is not uncorrectable.

People generally don't understand how powerful being consumers makes them; what masks this is how varied everyone's preferences are (those who will pay $X in order to have it now) and, again, the lack of information (or the lack of capacity to process the information 😀) which is sometimes intentional (companies will do anything that will net them money, such as lie...).

I'm probably the sickest Bssstd here. I stood in line at 12:00am the day Window95 came out and paid way too much for it.😱

*edit*

And the AS isn't even set good yet on my SD3700+, and I,m already slobbering over these X2's. Damn you AMD!!!

Do I need professional help😕, no way the money saved on therapy would buy an X2

Sure you got $50 to cover my expenses and time to box and drive to P.O. and ship it?

Oh and it has a Zalman Passive aftermarket cooler on it for no noise.. I don't like noise at all.
