Be patient. Monarch seems to move their price around a lot. Example: over the past week (7 days) I've watched them move the price of the Asus AN8 SLI Deluxe from $274 to $194 to $209 to $192 (today's price).

I'm not sure what their strategy is. To me, it just seems like a good way to make some customers angry.

Prices are usually based on the cost of current stock - some use a running average, others use a FIFO or LIFO method (in this case, FIFO means stock is priced on the actual cost of each item as it comes in, so current stock may have several different prices; LIFO means, if cost goes up, old stock is marked up to the new price too). Monarch just can't buy on as large a scale as Newegg so their price will be more greatly affected when prices change and they may also use a different pricing scheme.

Holy $shit FlyingHamster, that is crazy. Are you serious? I mean, I had been eyeing that $251 for the longest time, until the very day I was ready to purchase, and it shot up to $285, then quickly $297.

Monarch should expect to get a lot of calls from anyone who wants the 3500+ for the right price.

I was gonna go with the 3200+ instead since I plan to OC anyway, but Monarch was charging $187, then changed it quickly up to $193. After you buy the warranty (OEM processor) for $15, it's up to $208. Instead of that, I purchased the RETAIL 3200+ for $203 from ZipZoomFly. Incidentally, ZZF has now raised the price of that item $212. I waited too long for Monarch, now I'm glad I didn't wait any longer with ZZF.
