I was pricing parts for the SLI system I am planning on building next week and I came across Monarch's pre-tested board, cpu, memory combo and wondered if anyone had experience with it. They will even add thermal grease and Thermaltake fan for me... hehe, I know, I'm being lazy... I don't mind putting parts together myself but this caught my eye as you get a free copy of Far Cry and Half Life 2, which I plan to purchase anyway. This would acutally save me a few bucks and to have it all tested before it goes out sounds good. Anyone have any experience with this pre-built option? If so any suggestions?

i started another thread on this same qn..

i finally relented and got the parts from them.. so far so good. The only thing that sucked is that they did not include free athlon64 stickers :(

if any monarch dudes read this (i know you guy hang out in AT), you think you can send me some?

I have had them do that for me before. Go for it. You will have no problems. Monarch is very good. They're good people, too. The other day I went over there to pick up a Lian Li PC-60, which their website showed as being in stock. But, when I got there, he said that they were out of stock, that they only had them in their other warehouse...in Colorado. But, he offered me a floor model (in very good shape, although I claimed it wasn't new and had scratches -- just bitching at him) for $75. Their regular price is $102.

I ordereded mine for Monarch.. It was a flawless go around. Perfect delivery .. The only thing you might want to consider changing is the Thermalake fan deal.. I got the 1775 I believe and it stays steady at like 3200 rpm. But after playing HL2 for a few the cpu warms up pretty well.. I'm actually considering replacing it .. I have no clue what will happen if ya start getting into some serious OC'ing. Outside of that its a sweet board that runs really well.. And they did a really nice job

Yes, I was thinking about asking for opinions on the Thermaltake fans the can add, if they are even worth it...

Thermaltake A1772
Thermaltake A1838
Thermaltake Venus 7+

Any experiences with any of these on an A8N?
