Monarch is beating every price newegg can dish out, their 7900's are already cheaper, they have craaazy opteron deals. Their shipping isnt quite as top notch... but for the price.

Opinions?

Just had a bad experience with Monarch today, as their customer service sucks azz. Received a bad motherboard and asked for tech support/return 2 weeks ago. They dont reply until 2-4 days. After a week they are like, ok you can get the mobo replaced or repaired. Emailed them back saying replaced, but then never heard from them. Called in about 3 times the past couple days and was put on hold, hung up each time cuz it took too long. Last call today, I went thru 4 different people and was put on hold each time, and then someone finally tells me that I can't do the warranty with them anymore because its past 30 days. WTF, you guys told me I could 1 week ago, they had all my info the first time I asked for a RMA 2 weeks ago.

Im in Cali, so I don't get taxed from Monarch.. They seem to offer 2nd day shipping at a good price anyway.

Haven't tried Newegg yet, I plan to buy memory from them tomorrow.

right now i am going to go with Monarch for the deals they have eben having, the constant cpu/mobo deals, or cpu/mobo/pc game deals they have
i did have a problem with their shipping, i shipped 2 day air and uit arrived in 3, a $22 different and they never refunded the difference even though they said they would

you gotta watch out for those mobo/cpu combo deals at Monarch... as the cpu they advertise as cheap, but the motherboard and heatsinks etc may be a little pricey, so it kinda evens out at the end...

Maybe they've improved, but last time I checked (six or so months ago) they were $100 more expensive than Newegg and Zipzoomfly, most of which was because of shipping.

Customer service really bad.... I bougth from them because thier price was good for DVD, but end out it really screw up big time... very mad customer.. 🙁

3 times I've ordered stuff from Monarch, and 3 times I have not been happy with their service.

1st time - e-mailed to check their epia boards have the nehemiah core, received ezra-t core board instead, rma to get the right board
2nd time - same thing, their item description specifically stated nehemiah cores now, but received an ezra-t core, had to rma
3rd time - ordered a raid controller that was "in stock" on a saturday, didn't ship out until thursday

I'd like to spread my money around instead of buying everything from Newegg, but the other companies just aren't up to Newegg's standards. So I spend >95% of my money at Newegg.

Monarch's been great to me. I ordered one of their cpu/mobo combo deals a while back, requested some things while they tested it. They did everything i asked, shipped it how i asked. A+++

Newegg customer service is > Monarch.

If cost was the end all be all of ordering something then I would be ordering from Tiger Direct.

Hint: That means Newegg > * > some guy who has stuff in a box on the curb > Tiger Direct

I will ALWAYS shop with Newegg.

Their RMA service is simply the best I have ever dealt with. CS in general is great.

newegg is far better in service

monarch is usually less than 1% better on prices

ZZF and monarch can be a bit cheaper, but ill pay a few $ extra for neweggs better support, and to get it shipped faster.

If its siginificantly cheaper though, i order from monarch or ZZF.
