Momentus XT or Intel g2 120gig

My situation is as follows,

I have a Dell e6400 latitude that has served me very well. Over the past few weeks I just bought a hard drive caddy as I rarely use the optical drive. My current Setup is 2 WD Black drives 7200 rpm one being 320 and other 160 in this laptop.

I currently have ordered a intel 120-m g2 to reinstall windows on for this laptop. I use this laptop primarily for school and traveling with the off chance of some WoW or minor gaming.

I also plan on building a new computer where I boot off a SSD. I plan on this build once sandy bridge comes out and have the other parts assembled minus ram and cpu/mobo.

my question is this,

Should I just use the intel SSD for my new desktop and get a momentus xt for my laptop instead? or should I just get another SSD later for my Desktop.

Furthermore, if I choose scenario 2, I would likely be taking the 320g im replacing from laptop and another 320 black I have laying around and running a raid 0 array in my new desktop for less used games such as D2, L4D2 and stuff.

The main benefits I hope to see from this SSD as boot drive and app drive is battery life improvement. I will be keeping my Caddy with the other drive in as well. will it be noticeable? Also are Momentus XT more battery efficient then these WD blacks?

Thanks all!
