Why not? How hard is for an ABC reporter to say... "can we see the text message?", and have the mother display it on her cell phone?

Anyways, it looks like the picture, if not authentic was at least accurate.

According to the NJ Ledger, the girl's exact text message was:

"helpm 0m im scared I d0nt kn0w were I am."

Also, according to another article, her first message was sent while she was at the mall...


EDIT: Also, according to the same article, a few minutes after she messaged her parents, she text messaged one of the guys she had met at the mall a few weeks ago.

Very weird... its looking more and more like a hoax.
