Molson Kick?

Alcohol = dehydration
Caffeine = dehydration

Both = dehydration nightmare of instant liquid coma

[edit]
What was that popular mixed drink that was a fad couple of years ago?

Redbull + hard liquor shots. I think they stopped serving because people in the club were literally passing out left and right due to severe dehydration.

Most of the stuff tastes like ass.

Sparks tastes awesome though. Too bad it's pretty fvcking dangerous.

beer companies are just trying to capitalize on the energy drink + alcohol craze. i always hear people ordering jager or vodka with red bull when i go to bars/clubs.

edit: and i once took a sip of that budweiser e. tasted like ass. not that budweiser without the 'e' tastes any different though. just a peppier, kicked up more version of an ass taste.

It would be hard to design a drink that has any 'energry' effect at 1-2 drinks, and can be safely/enjoyable at 10-15 beers.

BS They are served everywhere. Geez, from your logic no-one could safely drink jack and coke (or coke with any other shot).

Caffiene and alcohol are both diuretics. The combined effect on dyhydration is greater than either one alone.

In addition, since caffiene is a stimulant, it will keep you alert and awake for longer, increasing the chance that you'll drink more in addition to making you think you're "less impaired" when in reality the alcohol will impair no less than it normally would.

I say it's ok in moderation. But I wouldn't drink a lot of these drinks in one sitting. Maybe one.

Also, both stimulants and depressents affect the body's ability to regulate temperature. So it doesn't suprise me that people in clubs slamming these drinks eventually would pass out from dehydration as their body temperatures gradually rise.

Sure, but thats a far way from people collapsing in clubs. That was simply just made up.

While I can't vouch for that bit of information, I could believe it. Dehydration + hot temperatures + broken body thermostat + physical activity is a recipe for collapse. It is a lot like ecstasy, though I'm sure E is much more dangerous.

The motivation for energy+alcohol drinks is so a person can ward off the fatigue that is triggered by alcohol. It's popular in clubs because people like to drink and be up all night. Since the club environment is usually one of excess, I could see how people would go overboard.

Seriously (I'm curious, not an attempt at anything else), how old are you? From your posts it sounds like you've never been to any bar (at least on this planet).
