I've been looking around for a couple of days but can't decide between the two. I want something quiet that will take a Tbird 1.33 to about ~1.5. Both of these are apparently able to do it. Any suggestions/comments?
Thanks!
Molex = Antec Jetcool, Tried it. Might work if you don't have to raise the core voltage, but not if you do. Didn't work for my TBird 1.2 to 1.4 o/c. I'm sending it back.
You might wanna look into the sk-6 or the gladiator from svc if you are not looking to spend a whole lot of money. But i gotta say that i love my big daddy...mc-462a by swiftech (80 bucks tho)
Get the Thermalright SK-6 as was mentioned. Put a 30cfm +/- fan on it and it will work well for what you want. I have one with a 30 cfm fan from Tai-Sol and it keeps my 1.33 temps way down. Not as loud as the Delta either. I got the fan off a Tai-Sol 760092B that a friend bought, but you can find them elsewhere.
You can buy a WBK38 and mount a 80mm fan on it...get an 80mm with similar output to the delta. Being an 80mm, the noise will be VERY low (I can barely hear it).
The Thermaltake is a good fan. I have it on the other system I am building with a Tai-Sol 760092 Heatsink and it works well. The temps are close to matching my setup with the SK-6. The MCX 370 has had good reviews also. You should have no problems with that combo.
