In an effort to change things up, i'm going away from an electronic calendaring system and trying things manually for awhile. I picked up a small Moleskine Weekly Planner Notebook and want to find a small pen/pencil to carry along with it.

Any recommendations? I was looking at the Fisher Space Pen Bullet, but it doesn't seem to have a clip to clip it on the notebook.

Pilot G2. It's the speech & debaters flow pen of choice. I used it through high school, 4 years of college, and still in grad school.

great pen but smears like a mofo if you don't let it dry. also very fragile and the tip gets crazy fucked up if you drop it too much.

takes literally seconds to dry. maybe the 0.7 is a bit heavy for some people if you press and write slowly, and too much ink comes out, but on moleskin paper and notebook paper it works fine.

don't drop it on the tip. like most other ball point pens. i know because as a debater you pen spin and i can tell you that 8 years later of pen spinning i still drop plenty, and every few months a g2 goes down the drain because i mess up the tip.

but overall if you don't mess with it, the pen goes forever. just change out the ink as it runs out a bit on the quick side.

The Bullet has a removable clip. I had a black one that I scratched the paint on while installing/uninstalling the clip.

I prefer the Telescoping Pen, which can be opened and closed with one hand. It doesn't have a clip, but I think I read that a clip from a Bullet (and maybe others) can be bent to fit.
