Mold in a fridge, is the fridge still good?

I'm moving out into my own aparement, and my dad has an old fridge in the basement I could take, but the doors where left closed on it and now theres mold inside of it. If I clean it with javax or soemthing really good is the fridge still good or would the mold have gotten into the plastic and stuff?

you fridge is still fine.. just wipe it out, clean it up. plug it in, just like new

that is kind of wierd now that you mention it. seems like they all come with a fridge, and most large appliances, except maybe a microwave

Clean it with clorox diluted with water and don't forget to put a box of arm&hammer in it for the smell.

It is still ok. Just lick the mold up with your tongue and it will be fine.

The clorox clean-up spray works really well

It should be fine if you clean it out.

I know when I looked at apartments in the San Fernando Valley/Westlake/Thousand Oaks area around Los Angeles none of the apartment complexes had fridges included in the rent.

Yeah none of that bargian bleach stuff j/k just use some kind of bleach stuff that will clean it up good.

If you can, after you clean it out with bleach, take off the doors and leave it sit outside in the sun for a day. Of course, if you don't have a porch or something like that then you can't do this, but allowing it to air-out a bit afterwards is a good idea IMO.
