moire?

I have that setting on my monitor but what does it do, I have learned from past mistakes to ask before just toggling with settings, any ideas?

I believe it's for removing moire patterns from your monitor. You should only mess with it if your monitor's image looks awkward. A moire pattern is hard to explain, kind of like concentric circles if I even remember right.
