Took my son to Toys R Us this weekend to exchange a radio-controlled car he had received for his birthday that didn't work. I felt like I was walking into a scene from Spaceballs with all the Cars merchandise they had waiting for customers as soon as they walked in. The only thing that was missing was Cars-the-lunchbox and Cars-the-flamethrower. Same thing later that day when we walked into a Wal-Mart.

Man, they had skateboards, toyboxes, toddler beds, tables and chairs, matchbox cars, roller skates, helmets, and on and on.

Admittedly, we bought into the merchandising since my son didn't like any of the R/C cars. We ended up picking up Cars-the-slot-car-racetrack. But it was a good deal since we got a movie ticket to go along with it.

Oh! LOL Nope, I haven't. I watch almost everything on TiVo so I don't have to watch commercials.

Well Disney is distributing it so that is to be expected and it is a Pixar film.

No film company can pimp the sh!t out of a film like Disney can. That is why Pixar never signed a deal with another distributor, the Disney marketing machine is quite simply incredible.
