Mohterboard + Processor Questions

The Pentium M 7xx (Dothan) and Banias chips are available in 478 PPGA and 479 H-BGA. The Pentium 4 Northwoods use the 478 PGA. Is it possible to run a Pentium M on 478 PPGA on a desktop socket-478 motherboard? I have not found any electrical differences and any pin allignment differences with the Pentium 4 and Pentium M 478 so far.

I recall seeing a motherboard reviewed here not long ago that allowed for a P-M to be ran on a desktop

You can NOT run a pentium-m on a normal pentium 4 desktop board, they are not electricly compatible. But as RadiclDreamer pointed out, there are now a few places making desktop board for pentium-m's using a compatible chipset, such as the DFI board he pointed out. There is also an Aopen board, and may be a few others. A mobile pentium 4 on the otherhand, will work in a normal desktop board.
