MOHAA tearing and how to get rid of it

open up the MOH folder and go to newconfig, open that up with notepad and add the following line

seta r_swapinterval 1

that should get rid of alot of the tearing

Wouldn't turning Vsync on in your drivers/display properties do the same thing? Or does the defaul setting in Q3 engine games (r_setinterval 0) override that? Because that is all that command is...Vsync 0=off, 1=on.

The Q3 engine sort of bypasses the settings in the display properties and uses GL extensions of its own. This means that it will ignore the vsync settings in display props. I immediately noticed the tearing, and being a former Q3 addict, I remembered good ol' swapinterval. Looks sexxy now :D
