That level is entirely beatable, but you have to be quite patient and have a little luck on your side. The best thing to do is to hide behind the shingles, when you see and hear less bullets flying at you, head to another, close, shingle. After a few tries, you'll figure out a path, it won't take too long.

Thanks for the tip, but i was able to figure the hiding part. :p the worst is when running to another shingle, you literaly see the bullets being traced at you, you see a line of spit up sand from bullets making their way to you and nothing you can do about it. :-0 all i know is i look for that medic every time, i'm less then 50 health before i can find the first obstical to hidn behind. :-/

Oh just wait until you make it up to the top, your asshole commander makes you go back! :)

After the spray of bullets comes you have a few seconds to get to the next shingle. Take it slow and steady and don't try to cover too much ground at once. Also you can use the craters for cover as well.

That bit's quite easy. The problem comes when you have to enter the trench which is protected by two machine gun nests and a mine field.

once you get part way onto the beach you meet a medic that gives you full health :)

Seems like it's mostly luck...I managed to get through on just the second try.

Replaying Omaha repeatedly isn't a worthless waste of time anyway, so don't let it frustrate you. It may be annoying as hell but it's also very good experience for that *OTHER* level. [ominous music]

The best d@mn thing I ever played. Helped me understand what that war was like. I was on the beach and through the mines in about 45 minutes :) And then I used cheatcodes just to snipe every SOB, including my own people :)

oh, not frustrating. frustrating is norway on hard. frustrating is coming out of the sub with 20 seconds to get to safety, throwing a grenade at the worker just outside and below the hatch and having the SOB throw it back at you. :-( seriously, thru norway on hard is unreal. i easily had 100+ deaths thru that place. :-D

Yes, that was one of my all time fav games. My 10 year old son really has it down on Normandy beach. Patience, timing it just right as you move from shingle to shingle is all it takes.
Yes, I also was going to mention that....."other".....level, normandy is a piece of cake compared to sniper's village.
That took me about a week as I recall.

Just think of it as a replay value :D

I got all the way to the end, getting out of the facility, just couldn't finish it off, I kept getting mowed down by the guys sitting outside the door. Excellent game.

Hard was just losing more heatlh per hit, the AI is nothing different. With quick saves/loads, you can get through the game without too much trouble. However, the last level is quite difficult on the hard setting. It *is* beatable, but between a stroke of luck and firing immediately when people come out, its definitely "hard"
