Anyone get MoH: Airborne through EA's EA Link direct download?

I caved and bought it through there last night and let it download overnight. Today I try to install it and it keeps failing on the unpack through EA Link. Tried 4 times and failed all 4 times.

I cleared the temp files and I'm downloading it again...sigh...5 hours...

I had watched Band of Brothers and The Great Raid again over the past few days and really made me want to play a WWII FPS again. That's why I caved.

It's not a bad game, it's just a little short, the single player campaign that is. The multiplayer only supports 12 people though, which I kind of dislike. The storyline is pretty good, so are the graphics and so is the sound. It's just that I personaly have seen more content in a game for less money, making it a bit of a ripoff so to speak.

But yeah, about your problem, try emailing support :p

That's really funny. I wasn't going to get this game, but I finished Bioshock and I was looking for something else to hold me over a few weeks and then Band of Brothers came on the History Channel last week.....:D I think it's pretty damn fun. But I'm half way through after only like 3 nights it looks like......So the "it's really short" criticism is probably pretty accurate.

Sorry, I have no idea about the D2D question.

Redownloading the game helped. Stupid EA...

anyway, I'm at the part with the bridge and all the anti-tank dudes. Pretty cool, but pretty frustrating too. the machine gun weapons seem pretty weak.

I definitely liked the Call of Duty series way better than this though. Call of Duty seemed way more immersive.

I don't quite understand the medals page...
the weapon upgrades thing is a cool idea but the upgrades seem dumb. like i don't understand why you would put a knife on a shotgun (like a bayonet i guess). you don't even get to see it.

The 1911 seems really weak and I want to upgrade it, but I never use it.
some of the weapons make it so hard to see an enemy when you are using the iron sights.
I also can't seem to use the True Trigger function for scoped weapons. It doesn't seem to work or something.

Voices sometimes cut out or are very hard to hear (like the music is too loud) which sucks.

OMG! The last level is INSANELY hard! I'm trying to escape from the Flaktower right now and those super machine gun dudes are raping me so hard.

i'm playing on normal difficulty, i can't begin to imagine how it would be on hard!

I played it on the highest setting using only shotguns and handguns. Had to finally use the stg44 for the machinegunterminators since they were like something outta scifi cannon rather tjhan ww2.

Im still pissed that multiplayer sucked so bad given that single player is shorter than an ooompaloompa.....

The shotgun is more of a CQC weapon, hence the usefulness of a bayonet attachment.

i've found that if you close enough to use melee weapons, you're pretty much fucked.
