Apparently cops think its kids messing around.
List of stolen items:

Kennith Cole Rolling Garment Bag
Ashtray full of change

Should of brought it with you where ever you go like you can do with bikes. Proves my point that bikes are safer than cars.

That sucks
The Sony CD player didn't have a removeable face?

And my gf makes fun of me for taking my face plate off regularly :p But I don't have a security system like she does :(

i hate that crap. my car window got smashed as well.. but luckily someone was around and was tailing the guy and called the cops. Unfortunately, the cops couldn't tell me who it was so I couldn't thank him in person. Now, w/ a new car... I'm very paranoid about it. I do my best to keep everything out of sight... all you can really see is the stock audio.

friend of mine left her case of cd's in her car... in a jeep no less.. someone cut right through the window. told her she should have just used burned copies or not leave that crap in a damn jeep like that.

Messing around? If I ever catch a douche bag robbing my car/house, he won't be able to walk for the rest of his life, if he is still alive. Be it baseball bat or pistol.

At least, that's how mad I would be... Definately would want to bash the dudes head in.

ugh - sorry to hear that.

last summer my driver side window got smashed, garage door opener was used to gain access to the garage, and a bunch of our FROZEN FOOD and some of my booze in my beer fridge was lifted.

turns out we were the 15th garage they broke into (23 yr old guy and his 18 yr old honour student g/f). he was only out of Kingston Penitentiary for 2-3 months and i guess he wanted to play GTA IRL so he could go back.

the arrest happened on my quiet subdivision street - high speed chase and the perps' stolen SUV did a rollover in someone's front yard.

the scariest part is that we slept through the whole thing, including a cop banging on our door @ 5am. zzzzzzzzz

Those cops are good. They automatically knew it was kids and you are just as smart to take their word for it.

So who here thinks renters insurance is worht it?
Thinking bout the odds of a claim vs time between claims with premiums compounding quick
plus the sizable $250 deductible....

You just don't make sense....how is it safer? They were robbed not hurt.

I had a hard time bringing my '92 Marin Bear Valley SE everywhere I went...most wanted to tell me chain it to their rusted out rack. It was an expensive college bike at the time. There were bikes on campus double and more, but rare.
