I'm trying to discover where I can allow a Limited User in WinXP Pro to manage the printers. However, I can't.

Thanks!

Do you want to allow them jsut to add printers? Or be able to cancel print jobs they have not created?

If you can be that specific 🙂)) then just canceling print jobs would be enough.

NTRIGHTS.EXE can allow them to add device drivers (and printers), if that's something you're interested in....

To let them manage print jobs go to the Printers folder, right click the printer go to Properties. Then go to Security click Add, choose the user you want to manage the printer and then give them manage document to allow them to manage the queue and do Manage printer to allow them to start/stop, change drivers, sharenames, etc.

edit: This won't allow them to add new printers but will be able to manage existing ones. Also are these machines in a domain?
