Moduslink - Last Day

Today, March 31st, was supposed to be the last day for moduslink to provide upgrades to windows vista. Unfortunately, the web site has changed to only allow for upgrades if you go thru an OEM's web site. They have a list, but of course, newegg, the place I bought my XP disk from is not listed. Any other web site on that list is charging $60-90 instead of 50-80 and I can't even use their site.

Any idea how to get around this? I know I'm grasping at straws. The company is not open today so phonecalls don't help.

You could say I should have done it yesterday or before, but given the deadline, it should have been fine to do it today as well.

Oh geez I went to do it today too and ran into the same issue. I didn't know the moduslink site was ever going to change. I went to their site earlier this morning and found no way to get it myself.

I just emailed Newegg for help, they might have a suggestion.

Well the site apparently has been changed to accommodate us OEMs. I just completed my order.

I ran into a scary problem last night (Saturday).

I was trying trying to order several Office 2007 updates for Dell PCs, and the first Moduslink page said, "Sorry, but the offer expired on 3/31/07. I freaked out!

HOWEVER, when I clicked on the link to Office 2007 at the bottom of the page, I was directed to the pages for ordering the updates and successfully ordered six Office 2007 upgrades.

Dell's Vista Upgrade site, which I was also using last night (Saturday, March 31), was still working at 9:00pm PDT (12:00am EDT). I have no idea what time they actually cut it off. None of the Offer pages said. They just said, "March 31". No mention of time zone. You'd THINK they'd keep it open until the last part of the United States passed midnight.
