The new PSU that I will be getting will have 4 SATA cables as part of it's cables system. My current motherboard has 2 SATA connections built into it. How do these cable connections differ?
The PSU cables supply electrical power to your SATA drives. Your PSU can power up to 4 SATA drives. The motherboard ports are for your SATA drive data cables. Your motherboard can support up to two SATA drives.
