Modular Power Supply Standard Question

In my main PC I have a Couger 1050 watt PSU (overkill) and in my server I have an Antec True Power, not sure of the wattage off the top of my head. Anywho both are modular. Both came with all the extra cables needed. However, when I got the Antec PSU molex was still a thing and some of the modular cables that came with the Antec have molex. I don't have any molex powered devices in my server, it's all SATA. So what I'm wondering is does the industry have a standard for modular cables on power supplies or does every manufacturer pin things out different on there end? I want to use some of the Cougar cables on the Antec PSU but don't want to risk frying a drive. Thoughts on this guys?

There are many adapters you could get and use with your Antec PSU.

Edited advice to remove my momentary stupidity

This is the correct answer. I wasn't even thinking about the connections on the PSU, just the motherboard ATX pins. The connections at the PSU could be different.

You should order the adapters or 'splitters' instead.

You're all saying what I figured the answer would be, however annoying an answer it is. Oh well, guess that gives me an excuse to order a new power supply!

Edit: Duh, guess I could have read my sig; the Antec is a 510 watt PSU (not that that really matters here).

Write to Antec support. Companies that try to help their customers often send out a cable as a favor, etc. It never hurts to check.

I've come across lots of people burning their components because they mistakenly assumed that because the connector on the PSU end fit with the connector on their old modular PSUs cable, then everything would work. One guy I came across destroyed all his hard drives by using an old cable with his new modular PSU. So one has got to be careful.
