I figured the thread had run it's course. It was turning into a flame fest between the people who love Newegg and can see them doing no wrong, and the people who are more realistic.Originally posted by: SickBeast

Damn, that was some serious emotion. I'm not sure if it works like that around here though. You can't just go on a rant and then have your thread locked on a whim. If that was the case, everyone would just make their point and have the thread locked so that nobody could argue with them.
Anyhow, have a  and try not to think about your painful experience.

Several people missed the entire point. The point being that they were putting me through the run around to RMA the monitor. Different rules for it which were NEVER posted anywhere. Even when I called the manufacturer they thought it was stupid for Newegg to require a case number from them on a straight out of the box dead monitor.
Anyway...if the Mods want to open the thread back up I'm fine with it. Just thought they would want to lock it to keep it from going much farther downhill.
You won't let it go will you? There is NOTHING posted on Newegg's site about the requirements for getting an RMA on that monitor. Nothing.....it doesn't say anywhere that it is treated differently than every other piece of equipment they sell. I have returned things to them before and never had problems getting an RMA. Never had to jump through hoops to get it done.Originally posted by: XietyCOM

Right.. It's neither Newegg's nor our problem that you didn't read Terms & Conditions. You agree to all these policiies by creating an account at Newegg.com. Policies like this one are there to protect both Newegg and the customer. I suggest you look into an online brick&mortar retailer with an online catalog or a manufacturer.
