Mods - possible to change "Joined" date?

Is there any way I could get my "Joined: MM YYYY" field adjusted from May 01 to Oct 99, the date for my old, dead handle (pastey)? Say, if I provided proof of some kind??

Why not use the pastey account? If the password is the problem you could use the password retrieval method. If the e-mail listed is the problem, then perhaps the mods would be nice enough to change it for you so that you could log in as pastey again.
