Anything that involves 'breaking news on CNN/Fox" belongs in POLTIICS AND NEWS
Anything that involves a tech support question belongs in General Hardware or Tech Support, etc
Anything that invovles software belongs in the software forum
And so on and so forth...

Why do people not understand this? You might get more responses here but you'll get a quicker solution by posting it to the lower-traffic forums where people actually want to help you

I don't need AT OT to replace Google News as my startup page. We have the News forum for that. What is so hard about understanding that?

You'd better not be referencing the Barry White thread, because he deserves to be here.

Oh shut up...

The news of Barry White's passing certainly does fit in here.

I can understand the the ire at the tech questions...people get lazy and want a really quick response but usually get flamed or the thread goes into NEF mode quickly ;)

They do a pretty good job. Occasionally things slip through, but jeebus, the world isn't going to end because of it.

Seriously. The amount of hardware/networking/software questions that have been showing up lately is just ridiculous.

What is DOS and what does a boot have to do with my computer?

i thought the politics and news forum was supposed to be shut down at the end of the war.

Either way, I dont care for it. Too much flaming over there.

They do a good job as is..... Now if somebody has a comp-related question (more of opinion, rather than tech support), I think it's okay for them to post in ATOT if they need a quick answer.
