Pink Hello Kitty condoms? It's hard for me to picture that. :)

I think he wanted a Digimon toy to have sex with, I just can't picture a Digimon love doll for man... perhaps a Digimon thingy... he's not gay is he?

I'm proud of your little brother for discovering what these "computers" are good for. The number one searches are for sex, the only internet fee-based businesses that seem to thrive are sex sites, and I'd bet the largest chunk of bandwidth being used by homes is porn traffic. Now, looking for porn on _your computer_, that's a bit iffy... My computer, my porn station.

Don't embarass him, he's going to be feeeling REALLY distressed that he was found typing that...he's hitting the time when he's gone from "Eww! Girls!" to "Mmmm, Girls "...it's natuaral for him to be curious (though why Digimon? That IS odd) and even more so if he hasn't been given "The talk", my parents never gave me "The Talk", all I know learnt about sex education at that age was from friends who had been given the talk...

It may be better for you yourself to give him the talk, that way he doesn't have to face the embarrasement of having to tell your mom and dad what he was looking for. Sure it'll be a nasty experience for you, but it could mean a lot of extra confidence to him...you're his older bro and chances are he respects you, if you can get him to trust you as well then chances are he'll be less likely to use the net for sex toys (though porn will be the next step ;) Teach him well in the ways of covering tracks!). It shouldn't be an issue to be worried over, he's young and looking to find the answers to his questions that no one else will supply him with. *shrugs*. :)

Hope all goes well!

Scutt.

First time I got caught with porn was when I was like 16. Hahaha... My mom didn't know wtf to do, so my brother just sat down and said he didn't give a fridge if I looked at it, just don't do anything stupid and he told me mom to back off.

That, and if I let mom catch me again, I'd be on my own on getting her to not kill me.

The one sensible response in this entire thread! Please don't embarrass the poor kid, they take it really bad at that age!

LOL,I turned the bulk of that type of issue over to my ex hubby to handle, I did however chew my son out for not locking his workstation and clearing his history, doc's etc, heck he's my son he ought to know better about securing his privacy !

LMAO! I would LOVE you as a mother ;)

Hell the kid's 15 1/2 I'm gonna go ballastic because I notice he's normal ? I don't think so, as long as he's kind and respectful towards women and respectful of privacy rights of others in this house he's also entitled to his own privacy. I've noticed that the more matter of fact you are about this stuff that the novelty of it wears off quickly and it's not a big deal.

This is something everybody goes through. You do not need to do anything at all. And if you do something you will make the situation more difficult than it has to be.

LMAO! :D Nothing like a good, private, heart-to-heart talk with your local Catholic priest to clear up a situation like this. I guarantee you he'll have no need for Digimon sex toys after that..

Seriously, though, I think this situation is completely harmless. Funny, yes, but harmless. Kids who are 12 naturally begin the process of becoming sexual beings; it's not like we're innocent children until the age of 18 (or whatever is the age of consent in your country) when kablam all of a sudden you're a sexually mature adult able to make whatever decision. He's just showing curiosity, that's all.

No need to whip out the Bible and condem him, making him think all expression of sexual curiosity is a Mortal Sin and thus scarring him for life.

The worst thing you can do is embarress or confuse him.

The best thing you can do is make sure he understands, 'internet is different from real life'. Anyone who learns how to find things on the internet, will quickly end up finding the wrong things... or truly disturbing things. The best you could do is teach him how to deal with these things.

I haven't heard of many guys playing with toys. Was he just trying to look at them to see? Or is he gay?

Dude, it's totally normal. My 10 year old brother (i'm 11 years older than him) always asks me questions and stuff. All kids go through that. It's just that when we were young there was no internet so we had to pick up information from other kids. I say the worst thing you can do is yell at him and cause the kid to have problems in the future.
