Mods: how about a spelling checker for composer?

How about an addition of spelling checker in forum composer?

Considering that, in theory, spelling doesn't mean much in this online forum other than distinguishing yourself as someone who is a) anal, b) literate and/or c) interested in spelling. Granted, it's great to have everything spelled correctly but it doesn't make enough difference, particularly when you're talking about a rather sizeable potential performance hit on the servers.

My solution: Use Wordpad/Word/StarOffice to compose messages, spellcheck, then simply copy/paste em over. If you got ambitious, you could set up a macro or two to mimic the buttons here (so you could easily post a link, for example).

Oh... et Jerboy... il y'a beaucoup du monde ici qui parle Français ici! La plupart sont du Québec, mais il y'a des autres qui habitent aux État Unis. 🙂

A spellchecker would be nice, but can you imagine how cumbersome it would be? There are so many non-dictionary words people use around here. Examples: nef, atot, hehe, lol, rofl, lmao, rotflmao, ie, aol, m$, seti, morpheus, 1337, 0wnz, j00, r0x0rz, h4x0rz, google, etc, etc, etc...

It's not a spell checker but you can look up words directly from the post window so if there is a specific word you need to know how to spell just type it there and it finds the closest matches... Also there is a thesaurus which may come in handy sometimes...... 🙂
