I thought it was supposed to be "HEAVILY MODERATED"? It doesnt really seem like it..There are at least a few threads already that DEFINITELY belong in GH. Not trying to whine, just constructive criticism:D

I think the reminders by forum members will help a little, 'cause the mods can't be everywhere at once.... I think after a time, people will get the idea (I hope). I've seen several threads removed/deleted already, so I can tell that they're certainly paying attention...and most of the posts that belong elsewhere have been posted later at night, when the omnicient Mods rest their eyes (not sleep mind you, just rest their eyes ;)).

I agree with BurntKooshie. The OT posts usually get a friendly reminder by some forum members and hopefully after that people will just ignore that thread and it will be off the list soon. The same goes with say, Hot deals. But in that case people always do some friggin variant of in before the l0ck so it just gets locked when if people didn't do that stupid sh*t and PM'ed the guy to edit his message or something then it wouldn't be a porblem.

I've been quite impressed by the way they've moderated Highly Technical. There have been a handful of Off Topic posts but their usually moved to the appropriate forums very quickly from what I've seen thus far.

Also most of the Off Topic posts usually recieve a quick reminder from a member that that thread is in the wrong forum.

The Mod's can't be everywhere at once. Personally I'd say it is being more heavily moderated then the other forums, and the Mod's are doing a good job of keeping it on topic.

Was my question on SGRAM really deserving of a lock? Oh well, my question was answered at least so it's not that big of a deal. I would like to see some sort of 'this is appropriate, this is not' guidelines, because I am unclear on how technical 'highly technical' is at this point.

Or it could be, when the mods think a question has been adaquately answered, then it's locked to prevent being posted again (cluttering up the forum).
