Modifying my Cable Modem

Ok I got a pic of the inside of my Cable Modem [below] its a Best Data CMX110 (identical to a Toshiba I think?) anyways as you can see on the pic there are various jumpers and 2 IDE looking connectors. Does anyone know what these jumpers can do, of where i can find a good data sheet on this modem? What about the IDE things? Oh ya and there are also 2 intel flash chips on there...can i get a new bios for this modem so i can uncap it? Or can i use the jumpers?
