Hey,

I've been trying to google this for a while but I cant seem to find the answer im looking for.

What I wanna do is make CapLock also work as Ctrl. So basically, when i hit caplock, it will toggle capslock on and off but if i hold it down, it will act like ctrl.

Is there any way to do this? I already know there registry edits but they only allow switches, not a combination like im asking for here. I dont want to have to press ctrl to toggle caps lock. It makes perfect sense to me because I never have to hold caps lock down anyway for anything so making function on ctrl as well would be nice.

no way to configure this. As when u hit caps and hold it it will be the same as just hitting it. So there is no way this is possible. The pc wont let u configure the button that way. Hitting the button is the same as holding it.

Might be possible if u write ur own program for it. But as far as i know u will need a configured keyboard to work with the program also.

Something like when u hit caps = caps but when u hold 2sec+ caps will change to ctrl. It might be possible to make but its not something that u can do easely now with a normal keyboard and windows configurations.

I forgot to mention I have a G11 keyboard if that makes any difference.

I figured theres some sort of registry trick I can do to make it so when you hit capslock, it triggers ctrl as well as caps lock. Basically, I just want to make hitting capslock the same as if i pressed caps lock and ctrl at the same time.

no trick to it. U might be able to program it though. But my guess is u need to make a whole script for it to work. Never heard of it though so thats why my bet is no can do.

Though would be neat if it would be possible to do with the key programming tool from my ideazon merc. I might try if i can put something like that on my keys. As i can configure all my keys not only macros.
