Modifying heatsink...

Just wondering if anyone has modified their heatsink so that only one of the sides is "open" for air to flow out... then redirected that air toward the rear exhaust fan to get heat out of the case.
Or has anyone created ducting to remove hot air off the heatsink before it gets to the rest of the computer?

I have created a ghetto cardboard and duct tape "duct" that pulled fresh air into the case and directly onto the CPU, and it actually worked quite well, even reversing this (reverse cpu fan to pull air off heatsink and case fan pulls it straight out). If I had a camera, I'd upload a pic, but my poor self would rather buy a processor than waste money on things like cameras 🙂.

EDIT: spelling

LOL... yeah, I understand... I got my camera basically for free... I use to play a MMOG called Motor City Online... car racing game... I saved up a bunch of race winnings... $8 million worth... sold it on ebay for $400... can you believe that? Somebody paid me $400 in real money for what's basically monopoly money... funny thing is... the game is being shut down REAL soon, lol.
