I have a Sony RM-X4S stalk remote for my car's head unit. It's very convenient. I got a new JVC head unit and it's not compatible with this stalk remote unlike Pioneer head units which are compatible with it.

Is there any way to modify this stalk remote so that when connected to one of those steering wheel adapters (used to get a car's OEM / stock steering wheel controls to work with aftermarket head units), to the adapter, it looks like an OEM / stock steering wheel control from say a Toyota car?

Thanks, but what he's doing in that thread is connecting his car's stock steering wheel controls to a Sony HU.

What I want to do is connect a Sony RM-X4S stalk remote to a JVC head unit.

you said through a steering wheel adapter. Which would take steering wheel inputs. So you need to convert the remote to steering wheel outputs.
