Modest Proposal - Forget Water Cooling

We were joking around at lunch about beer coolers and chest freezers. I, for one, have not seen a chest freezer (frost free) suggested as a 'Red Green' solution for overclockers. With an Firewire external chassis for a DVD/CD drive and a drill, you might have a cooling solution. ;D

The biggest enemy is condensation. Well, maybe space too. But some chest freezers are cheaper than some water cooling solutions.

I think you'll find they will condensate like f uck and you will have a dead PC on your hands. If this worked, people would buy them all the time, because they are so cheap.

HOWEVER, a good way to use one would maybe to stick your watercooling radiator inside the fridge, at the back, still leaving space for your beer, and running the lines down to your PC.

Of course, take natural precautions on the PC side, by reading faqs on cooling systems such as vapochill, to make sure you have no condensation there, either.
