So i saw bjork on weds...that was interesting
Saw Modest Mouse yesterday that was hot..
Tonight is Arcade Fire...hope that goes well..

The real story is Man Man. It is this band out of philly but they are touring with Modest Mouse. Check them out...they are amazing. They were the first opening band I have ever seen that almost upstaged the headliner.

All good artists/bands

Was bjork, er, odd? Never seen her live, but I would imagine it is an interesting experience...

As for The Arcade Fire, I like their new album a lot.

Yeah it was a really interesting show. The opening was awesome and her new stuff sounded great.

Does anyone remember the digg story about the new technology where there was a music synth but instead of using switches it was kinda a piece of class that acted like a pool. you put these blocks in it and they would act as different synths and sounds and you could adjust them by moving them and twisting...they actually used that..i was totally surprised.

For the arcade fire show...I waited from 11am till 7pm to try to get better seats but failed. Right before the lights went down I was down talking to my friends that had front row...I totally just stayed up there with the. Front row center was amazing.

I do a good job of getting seats so far this year....

Good the bad and the Queen 1st row
Bjork 5th row
Modest Mouse 2nd row
Arcade Fire First row

I saw Radiohead 2nd row center at Bonnaroo, I agree there's nothing quite like being that close to a great band. I bet Arcade Fire was insane!

you are right..I have a serious problem wit seating at concerts. if i dont have a good seats for a lot of the concert I think how awesome it would be if i was the guy infront of the guy in front of me.

That bonnaroo was good..I was gonna go but i was burnt out.

My Radiohead concert going experiences include:

3 First Row
2 Second Row
1 4th Row
1 who knows but it was far away..I was young and naive to the concerts..

bjork was more than just 'interesting', amazing would be more appropriate, and arcade fire was also amazing in their own right. i caught both last weekend.

Yeah, I saw Man Man at Oberlin before they started touring with Modest Mouse, and at Little Brothers last year. By far the best live act I have ever seen. I hope you had a good crowd, because the more energetic the crowd is the more energetic they get, just feeding off the energy. They played 4 encore songs at Oberlin, compared to only two at Little Brothers last year. Did they play "Push the Eagle's Stomach" with the awesome part in the middle when they jump simultaneously?

How much were tickets for that, BTW?

Yeah they played the song where they jumped. Like i said i had never heard of them before. Saldy just about any opening band thats not well known the crowd wont be into it. I hear they are from philly and thats wear i saw them so it seemed that they had a ton of energy. I assume they will come back there eventually and I will deffinetly see them when they are alone.

For bjork tickets were 90
For Modest Mouse/man man 35 i believe
Arcade Fire was 40

Cool. Those ticket prices are ouch, but I am assuming MM was great too?

I was supposed to see another of their shows at Kenyon College, which was free, but they had the wrong building listed on their website and when I asked around people were looking at me like I was crazy. Oberlin was 5 and Little brothers was 9. When you say you will see them alone, how long of a opening set did they play?

Glad you had a good time.

i would say they had an hour and 10 mins! so a pretty good opening sets. Those ticket prices are not bad for any major band...people are always like WOW thats so expensive..but really thats average.
