Modern wire probes / toners?

I'm in need of a new wire toner and probe, has anyone used something like the Fluke intellitone series? Is there any advantage to these or I should stick with the tried and true designs that have been around for ages?
 
I've used them and find them pretty useful...at times.
Add that to the Microscanner Pro and you have a reasonably inexpensive network tool. Not as good as the big boy tools they make but for a tight budget, it has definitely helped.
