I guess I'm one of the few that doesn't care about this game. It was fun for a little while but it was just a nade fest and you get randomly spawned right in a fire fight and die instantly.

What about the SP? The SP campaigns are what have made the CoD series, imo.

I have to admit that even though that the latter CoD installments have deviated from their far superior predecessors (CoD1 and CoD2), they still have the great single player campaign. With that, I honestly don't understand why everyone goes batshit crazy over the mediocre multiplayer.

Yes but $50+ for a very short campaign that was good but you could pass it in like 4 or 5 hours.

lol! The trailer looks pretty intriguing, but unfortunately, the SP is going to be around 6-10 hrs like CoD 4. That's annoying.

That said, I like the new environments and new guns they're bringing in.

looks awesome. can't wait to play. I think I played a total of maybe 1 hour multiplayer COD4, but have played through the single player multiple times (partially for making in-game movies, but mostly because it's just really fun).

That was always my problem with the MP, if you find servers with less people in them though the nade spam is way less annoying.

That being said I won't be buying it until it goes down in price, I like the game but it's nothing amazing enough to make me buy it for 60$, especially when there are plenty of other normally priced games to buy.

6-10 hours is pretty standard now for single-player FPSs.

And some people only play the MP (at LANs, personally). We've had 3 day LANs with almost nothing but CoD4. Awesome fun with my LAN group.

yeah, CoD4 seemed like it was made for lower number of players, like 16 at most.

It works in its own right, but I'm still waiting for Battlefield 3 to satisfy my massive battleground urges, but I think Bad Company 2 will be awesome

It is. Pretty much the max size on the consoles (besides ground war which 18) is 16 players, and it's already hectic enough. So it's a little crazy when you cram 24-32 people on the exact same maps, and it's no wonder why you have so much grenade spam.

I've jumped back and forth between the 360 and PC version of COD4, and ultimately I had more fun with the 360 version. Why? Standardized servers. Servers are all the same and you know what to expect. On the PC version you have all sorts of servers with different settings and such (player size, respawn time, points needed to win, etc), and while it gives you some flexibility, it's just more fun for me on the 360. That's just me. I'll take any other fps on the PC anyday though.
