Any AC ripple that manages to pass from the cord through the power supply will be (almost) eniterly removed by the first few capacitors that the current will pass through.

How does it deal with differential voltages and transverse mode noise? ;)

I like it!

Look how thick it is. Perfect to beat the living sh!t out of the arsehole that made it and trying to sell it. Get it long enough to make a noose and hang the bastards! :|

We'd have to figure out it's capacitance multiplied by the square root of it's flux resistance then add that number to the COS of PI times the number of OHM's per foot in copper.

Did you follow me?

NEVER CALL AUDIO EQUIPMENT SNAKE OIL

unless you're talking about Monster or Bose, but that's another story.

Or $3,000 power cords.

The Hanning slopes would not account for rise time slew factor in the unballasted offset due to mutual coinductance of transformed power. ;)

Those speakers do use a plasma tweeter... then again, those are cheap to make.

I got to see a real plasma "speaker" before. It was essentially a singing arc and was producing high fidelity sound covering the full audible spectrum. :Q

It cost way more than $300,000 though and wasn't considered a speaker but it was sweet to see (and hear).

Audiophiles are generally weathly-so it's not a big deal to buy some snake oil.

The hurricanes are receiving some good reviews :)

Most audiophile reviews are full of BS to begin with. When I said that to my local high end dealer a while ago, he (the owner) agreed with me. He resopned to me and said that they are like the car magazens where the manufactures pamper the reviewer so that they give their product a semi positive review.

(Many years ago he told me this, he is still in buisness and I do frequent him every once and a while)

Was it the Hill Plasmatronics design?

damn it people are dumb.

I agree.

I am reading a review on this BS right now...

God, I hate these f*cking people. Look at this bullsh1t:

I know a few designers and audio engineers to whom the power cord phenomenon is a highly unpleasant obnoxicant. Power cords shouldn't make the kind of audible differences they can make. It's something even these science-driven types will grudgingly admit. As part of their work, they must rely on and trust their own ears to incorporate empirical evidence that lacks any obvious textbook verification or convenient explanation. They acknowledge full well that power cords will sound different from one another. But they usually prefer to derail the conversation to a topic over which they have a firmer grasp.

What he's saying is that he can't find any measurable evidence to back up his claim that power cables can make a difference in sound quality. That's because they don't, jackass!

That said, the ZCable cords improved over my prior contenders in a couple of areas, specifically bass weight and slam; enhanced image density or body; micro-dynamic range; and a further reduction of my system's noisefloor

Can you see the brown, stinky bullsh1t oozing from his mouth like so much diarrhea? I hate these people.
