The above is one of the more powerful narcotics available, combining a semi-synthetic opiate (codeine and morphine are the only natural opiates) and acetominephin. Noone would argue that such a pill is one of the most effective means of mitigating pain. But here's the interesting thing:
Modern science doesn't even know the specific mechanism by which either ingredient works! So much for modern science, right?
